Subject: ROSES: ROSES in Sapporo

Hi! I'm living in Sapporo, where The Stone Roses came last night. They should have started Japan Tour from here three months ago.... Anyway, finally they came !

They started with "Adored" and it followed "She bangs the drums" and "Waterfall" like the 1st album. I was really excited. But those songs were too simple for them now, I thought. When the songs from the 2nd were played, they were much better and matched. I think I still love The Roses `in the 1st'. I couldn't get very excited and even felt hollow while they were playing those songs from the 2nd.

They were really cool and playing excellently but I felt I couldn't get something I had been looking for, which turned me on in the live video in Blackpool.

(I don't think I might be a good Roses fun any more.)

"I am the Resurrection" as an encore was really superb. They played powerfully. The Best song in the night for me.

Other things I noticed :

Ian's hair was as long as before and I felt happy about it.Ian burned Union Jack while a guitar solo in "Ten Storey Love Song". I had not heard about it. Did he do it in other places ? And did he mean anything special ? 

Ian looked fine but complaining about the audience which was a little bit quiet.I was standing in front of John. He was really excellent and cool. I couldn't see Mani so much. I thought Robby and the keyboadist were very bright guys.
