It's now January '96, so it's been months since the show, but I didn't want Adelaide to be the only Australian venue without a review! The The barton Theatre is small. I don't know whether the show sold out, or how many people were there, but the place felt *packed*. After some waiting, the opening of the set was visually impressive (lots of bright, white light) and musically started with <insert song's name which I can't recall> followed by I Wanna Be Adored as people have described elsewhere, and it all worked really well. The set was a decent mix of old and new. There were a few unfortunate exclusions, and at least one unfortunate inclusion of what felt like a 20-25 minute gratuitous guitar wank -- once again, I can't even remember which song it was because it was so long ago now. The show received mixed reviews from people I have spoken to, but I was *totally* impressed. Friends of mine who had never really gotten into the band had a great night. This is a hopelessly inadequate review, but now Adelaide won't feel left out :-)
