My sister first introduced me to the roses in about 1989. I was instantly hooked. I thought Waterfall was just the best song ever. I eventually got completely hooked on the first album and played it constantly in my car over the summer of 1989/90 (in australia).

I remember coming home from a holiday in 1990 and my sister had just bought One Love. i love the beginning of that song.

In October 1995 the roses finally came to Adelaide, South Australia and played at by far the best gig i have ever seen.

They hardly spoke to the audience but you just got the impression that here was the best band in the world AND THEY KNEW IT! Ian's singing was even good!

I was devastated when i read that John had left the band. Just couldnt belive it that the band i thought was at the peak of its power was disintegrating.

So here i am listening to I Am The Resurrection, Fools Gold, Breaking Into Heaven etc.

At least we still have the music.
